Reflections

Did not drive today , spend time at home reading. Will drive longer hours tomorrow to recover today's loss. Its a business. If you close shop for a day , you will suffer loss of revenue.

Anyway , been driving for 3 weeks and money seems good , cash and all. Less stress , got to meet lots of people daily.

We can't have everything in life but we can always seek happiness. Until the next job offer comes along , I will prowl the streets from 6.30am to 6pm daily to earn a living .

Day off

Took the day off to be with the family. Drove wife around town for errands. Got to spend more hours driving tomorrow to recoup the loss of income today due to rent.

Sat 12th Sept 2008 , 8.35pm

Started the day at 6.30am and went home about 6.30pm. Profitable day today. Picked up my son from the baby sitter. Went for dinner with the wife and son today.

I took the time to reflect what might have been if I had started driving earlier. No doubt I would earn less but I would have been happy , less stress and owning my own business. Its not what you have in life that matters , its what you do with it that matters.

Not working tomorrow , spending time with son

Lonely

Driving a taxi is a lonely job.However it can be lucrative if you put in the 12 hours work of driving instead of ending up in queues.
